Privacy Policy

Complying with the GDPR

We have all been bombarded with communications urging us to review our responsibilities with regard to safeguarding the information which we have on you.

Though it may have a bit of a pain for you, it is for your protection and ensures that your personal details are not subject to abuse.

We have had a lot of things going on in the Guild, and are anxious to be compliant before the Friday deadline.

A Privacy Policy has been added to the website, which is fairly standard and which we invite you to read.

The Quilters Guild doesn't want to lose you and we would like to keep on being able to contact you through our website.

The only information which we hold in connection with this blog is your email. So, if, having read the information below supplied by Mary Palmer, you are happy to continue receiving information from our blog, please re-enter your email on the website or click on the Follow Button.

If you wish us to remove your email from our database, please email theqgi@gmail.com

Please take note of the following which has been created for us by Mary Palmer, Cork Textiles and for which we are grateful.
As you may be aware, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) come into effect this coming Friday. What this this means is that we no longer have the right to contact you or keep your information after the 25th without your express permission. It's complicated, and we on the committee are all doing our best to be able to communicate with you, our members, past members and supporters.
We would like to be able to contact you email We will only do so in relation to The Quilter's Guild of Ireland activities and to share our newsletter and updates. We will never share your email with third parties.

In addition we urge you to read our Privacy Policy and we welcome any suggestions or comments.
